FRIDAY, Last Day of Prayer and Fasting. GROWING IN FAVOUR WITH PEOPLE

Relationships are HARD. They NEED the Lord`s help.

PRAY that we would grow in our relationship skills.

Pray for marriage relationships, pray for families, for our youth.

Pray for Godly friends for church family.

PLEASE pray against the spirit of offence. “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.”

Proverbs 19:11`. PLEASE pray for people of our city that they would know JESUS.

Pray for the relationship between our church family. 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. “

PRAY these scriptures…

Jesus said, “As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all [people] will know that you are my disciples” (John 13:34-35).

“Be devoted to one another in brotherly [and sisterly] love. Honor one another above yourselves” (Romans 12:10).

“Live in harmony with one another” (Romans 12:16).

“Stop passing judgment on one another” (Romans 14:13).

“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you” (Romans 15:7).

“Instruct one another” (Romans 15:14).

“Agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you” (1 Corinthians 1:10).

“Serve one another in love” (Galatians 5:13).

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2).

“Be kind and compassionate to one another” (Ephesians 4:32).

“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5:19).

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ” (Ephesians 5:21).

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:13).

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom” (Colossians 3:16).

“Encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

“Spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24).

“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:25).

“Do not slander one another” (James 4:11).

“Love one another deeply, from the heart” (1 Peter 1:22).

“Offer hospitality to one another” (1 Peter 4:9).

“Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another” (1 Peter 5:5).

Week of prayer THURSDAY!

Today we are taking about SPIRITUAL practices to put ourselves into a place to walk and talk with the LORD.

GROWING IN FAVOUR WITH GOD: Having a relationship with GOD is a great privilege. God wants to know you.

Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

Take time to look at the 6 Discipleship Practices we learned about this spring.

“Are you (am I) GROWING in love for the LORD?” is a good question to ask the Spirit.

Pray for our church and for the FAMILY of GOD.

“This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight…” Philippians 1:9

Matt 6: And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Fasting

16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

WEEK OF PRAYER ( 5 DAYS) November 25-29

WEDNESDAY! Today’s focus is GROWING IN STATURE:

JESUS GREW in his physical body. Luke, who was also a physician, noted this as important! Jesus, GOD, had a body and STILL has a body. We were made in the IMAGE of God.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is IN you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies”. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

ASK the Holy Spirit to heal our bodies, Ask the LORD to help our youth with BODY IMAGE issues.

TO pray for purity in our sexuality, and freedom from SELF HARM and additions (sexual as well as substances and food).

PRAY FOR a renewed vision as we are the Temples of the Spirit of the living God.

Romans 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

PRAY over these verses!

Psalm 139:13-16

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

Matt 10: 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

32 So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,

33 but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Tuesday DAY 2. Such a good day of being with the LORD yesterday. For the rest of this week we will be praying through the FOUR ways JESUS GREW! Today our focus is GROWING IN WISDOM.

James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.

PLEASE pray that we would all GROW in wisdom.

Pray for our leadership and our church family!

Pray for protection for those who are young and new in Jesus to Grow in the wisdom of God as His word.

If you are needing wisdom for something in your life, ASK THE LORD. ASK the Holy Spirit to renew your mind.

Ephesians 1:17 says,
“Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.”

GATHERING at CHURCH (and on ZOOM) 6:00pm for prayer.

VERSES

Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,

23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are,

29 so that no one may boast before him.

Psalm 111:10 ESV

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

MONDAY! We begin! Welcome to our time of prayer and fasting! Oswald Smith says, “when we work, we work, when we pray, God works”.

Our prayer, during this time of 5 days of prayer and fasting, is that God would do an incredible work in your life and that you would know him in a deeper way.

_________________________________________________________________________________Monday: Today our the focus is PREPARATION:

TODAY set time aside and make a plan on how you will seek the LORD for this week.

As you pray, before asking God for anything, we encourage you to spend time pausing, praising and confessing.

Then move into a time of asking. If you need help, you can use the P.R.A.Y. model – Pause/Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield.
